UltraISO and WinISO are simply other software programs to create ISO image files of CD's and DVD's.  It's not another format.

Ok i have burned an image of colin mcrae rally 2005. Creted my bin file from the mdf and renamed it mounted it using Alchohol 120% but i still get the cd key error msg. Have any of you tried this method with colin mcrae? or is it because its from a dvd?

I have try colin 05. IF you will disable all drives.Except virtual drive.
Then it will permit you to enter the cd-key.But it not allow you to play.
I will try more..

i even tried the mini image but i cannot play colin 2005???

edit: okay [confession i had to dl colin bc it doesn't exist in my country BUT: just tried my legit toca race driver 2 dvd version, guess what the mini image doesn't work, probably bc no dpm is recieved obviously bc its a dvd and alcohol says its not a valid image..

so i see no reason why colin 2005 should work either hah

in case wondered here's what i've done:
1. removed all my physical cd/dvdroms decreased the number of virtual dvd's to 1 (just incase)
2. alcohol'ed my toca 2 (got colin with mini image 1.1mb?)
3. after installing toca2 used starforce cleaner. restarted and tried to play the game and it doesn't work.
4. then installed colin then starforce then restarted, then used the mini image and mounted it. i could only see the screen to enter the key then it complained about the drive not being ready b4 that it said that the cdrom did not respond.

so both of them won't work, at least i couldn't manage...

can someone who as actually got any of these to work pls tell us how its done? if its done with something else no-cd for example pls tell us so

@mods pls don't delete this. i purchase my games! trying to learn!!! I know there is no talk of illegal stuff... but i haven't given any link nor broke the rules. i've just read the rules again...don't worry!

Colin works perfect thanks to ultima without using an iso
install and play ,,, but do not forget that your video card has to have pixel shading and you must have directx 9c.........
but Race Driver 2 is still a problem

Ultima is a CR_AC_K version.Dont mention this.

The method works also with starforce 3.4 cd version.
I tried it at the game: shade-wrath of angels.

My way for going into SF 3 games is:

First Read the Game with A120 1.9 ,select high DPM and Starforce 1/2/3
After it,i got a 2X kb mds
And burn it out with a CD writer
after that disable IDE CDROM,plug it with IDE to USB cable
then read the disc by USB cable

it's done,100% can get in~

Thank you everyone for the tips... I was able to successfully play Broken Sword 3: The Sleeping Dragon using a mini-image file. Now the Play CD is safely back in it's jewel case while I play the game. :-)

Broken Sword 3 was using Starforce 3.03.027.036, 04.11.03.

Low speed ,High DPM, StarForce 1/2/3 read
twenty something kb size mds

burn the disk with the image file with StarForce 1/2/3
disable the IDE CDROM
read the disc by USB CDROM

no Mini Image need

Mini images work for starforce 3.3xx or 3.4 for some games(cd games).
What protection does it the game have?
I suppose that you have follow the instructions in the first page.

Also i think that most people have problem for doing the empty mini-image working.
delete all files from original mdf, save it as a .bin file.....etc
If you try to save it as mds/mdf file?????
It will work??? Its an idea of moment.

Has someone tried the mini-image trick with Splinter Cell Chaos Theory ?
(it's Starforce 3.4.71.19 DVD protected)
