Major changes to the support forum.

This is to notify all present users of the support forum that there will shortly be some major changes to the way the support forum is run and what type of questions will be answered by the support team. This change will coincide with the release of our next version.


The main open section of the support forum will be totally removed and there will only be support for technical issues with the software for users of the trial version. All posts will require a current Alcohol system report to be posted along with a description of the problem; this is to aid the support staff to deal with the question promptly without having to ask for a system report. (If the problem is related to an install problem the system report will not be required)


All purchased users will have access to the purchased user section and we ask that users of the retail version of the software use the purchased user section of the support forum.

New and existing retail version users will also be able to find more information on accessing the purchased user section directly from their log in account on our main sales site once the changes to the forum are made.


Q:- Will the changes affect the purchased user section.
A:- No, all topics in the purchased user section will remain the same, the only changes will be to the open section of the support forum.


Q:- Why should I join the purchased user section.
A:- Purchased users benefits in joining the purchased user community include prompt priority support from the support team, access to the latest news and information concerning the software development and any patches or fixes that we release, Access to upgrades\updates prior to trial version releases, exclusive access to our online gaming server (presently under construction) and much more.


Q:- Why are these changes taking place.
A:- The streamlining of the support forum is to allow the support team to deal promptly and efficiently with trial users and purchased users questions and problems. Dividing the support forum in this way is the most efficient way to achieve this.


Q:- What type of questions are technical questions.
A:- Technical questions relate to problems with the software, such as drive support, problems with installing the software, and general questions concerning the software's functions not covered in the FAQ data base.


Q:- Can I still email directly to the support team.
A:- Yes you can still email support at support@alcohol-soft.com but you will need to include your Alcohol system report along with your Question.

An update to the above topic.

The open forum will basically start as a blank forum, all present topics and posts will be removed.
Sections in Open forum will be along the lines of.

Alcohol 120% technical support.
Only questions of a technical nature will be replied to, all questions must be accompanied by an Alcohol System report any non technical questions will be deleted, any question not accompanied by a system report other than questions concerning problems with installing will be deleted.

Alcohol 52% technical support.
Only questions of a technical nature will be replied to, all questions must be accompanied by an Alcohol System report any non technical questions will be deleted, any question not accompanied by a system report other than questions concerning problems with installing will be deleted.

Sales and Marketing related Questions.
Only questions relating to sales and marketing will be replied to, all others will be deleted.

Website related problems.
Only questions related to the sales site i.e. log in problems will be answered, all others will be deleted

FAQ section.
Here you will find information relevant to the trial versions.

Off Topic section.
Here you may discuss off topic subjects.

Reviews.
Reviews of our software can be found here.

Important please note

Every registered member not presently a member of the purchased user section will receive an email shortly explaining the changes that will take place. if you have purchased you will be advised to join the purchased user section. if you have not purchased you will be given the chance to purchase Alcohol at a discounted price.

All presently active non retail version members of the open forum will be required to re register for the new trial users forum. Retail version members who have not already applied for access to the purchased user section are advised to do so.

All registrations to the Trial users section of the support forum will only last for 30 days, (the length of the trial version) after that time you will no longer have access to the forum unless you have purchased the software.

Only registered users will be able to view the forum.
