Alcohol and bios configuration...

I tried this afternoon to install Alcohol 120% on my computer, but I have a big problem now.
I have Windows XP SP2 installed on a SATA hard disk, and 2 others disks for data (one IDE and one SATA)
While installing Alcohol, I saw an error message about SCSI drives, and then the program asked me to restart my computer.
I did so, and now I can't boot on XP at start, because the bios configuration is modified. My IDE hard disk (which only contains data) always replaces my SATA disk (with XP) in the boot device priority.
So I can start Windows by modifying the bios, but these modifications are lost each time I restart the computer (I must modify the bios each time I want to start my computer, otherwise nothing happens).
I've tried a system restoration, but it failed to solve the problem. And Alcohol isn't installed, so I can't simply uninstall it.
So what can I do to cancel the installation, or to prevent windows from modifying the boot device priority ?
Thank you by advance for your answers.

Run Alcohol, set the number of virtual drives to 0 to remove them, then:
1.Run "regedit"
2.Find "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{E9F81423-211E-46B6-9AE0-38568BC5CF6F}", then delete that.
3.Find "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\32418F9EE1126B64A90E8365B85CFCF6", then delete that.

Actually, Alcohol isn't really installed on my computer. The keys you mention doesn't exist.
When I launched the installer, after a few steps (and a message about STPD layer, which could be the root of the problem) it asked me to reboot the computer before installing the software. So I restarted my computer, but the bios boot device priority had changed, and I couldn't come back to Windows.
At this point I had to set the good values in the bios each time I wanted to start the computer.
It seems Windows was always replacing my SATA hard disk (with windows XP) by an IDE hard disk (which only contains data) in the bios.
Now I've found and deleted 2 files in Windows' directory (both named STPD + a number), and it seems the bios is not modified each time I start Windows any more.
At least I can boot normally now, but Alcohol is still not installed and I don't know how to do !
When I launch the installer, I still have this message, so I think I'll have the same problem if I go on...

Permanent Solution.
There should be an option in your BIOS to prevent your boot from being modified fullstop. Should call itself Boot sector protection or boot virus protection. This prevents Window or whatever from changing boot priorities ever.

I'll try to find this option which prevents modifications in the bios, but I don't remember having seen it yet (my motherboard is very complicated).
It could be a good solution if it actually exists in my bios !
I'm using the family edition of XP, not the 64-bit.
But as I previously said, my Windows is installed on a SATA DDR, I think my problem has a link with this since I previously succeded to install Alcohol when it was on a IDE DDR.

This is what happened:
When I launched the installer, after a few steps (and a message about STPD layer) it asked me to reboot the computer before installing the software. After that I cannot access Windows anymore. If I cannot boot how can I restore? I really need some help, my life is in that computer.
What I don't understand how is it possible to release some software that creates such of havoc in a perfectly running computer?

As this is the first and only report we have received from over 48919 downloads of the free version your comment is unfounded, I am not saying there is not a problem but I am saying that it is not necessarily our software that has caused the problem but there may be an underlying problem with your system that you are not aware of.
Problems like this are difficult to find solutions for simply because it is next to impossible to re create the problem in tests. as it has been pointed out to you Alcohol does not modify your bios therefore would most likely not be the root of your problem.
some searching online located the following information that may help you regain your OS. there is however still a problem with your PC I would suggest that a clean install of you OS would be a good action to take.

I should have registered before creating this thread, because you may not see the last messages posted as guest aren't mines (even if they seem to describe the same problem).
So I ask the second guest: is your OS installed on a SATA hard disk ?
Concerning myself, I finally installed Alcohol on another computer (which has windows XP on an IDE hard disk), and it worked fine, I could burn the images.
But there is no way to make this program work on my own computer !
Anyway, thank you for your support !
(as english is not my main language, I'm glad you understood me !)

Now that that's out of the way, have you tried the suggestions above?

Quite frankly coming here and shouting the odds and giving no system information at all is not likely going to get you an answer you want.
