{System report removed - Jito463}

Hi, i recently purchased Tomb Raider Legend (DVD) and wanted to make a backup so i downloaded the Trial Alcohol 200% to make a copy but whenever i insert the backup disc so i can play the game a message comes up that says "Please insert the original disc instead of a backup"

I took some pic's of the copying process....
Copy Wizard

For some reason i don't get the "Data Type" drop-down box either. I also have not installed any virtual drive.

Thanks

For DVD's, there are no profiles. However, first thing you need to do is use the Image Making Wizard instead of the Copy Wizard for copy protected discs. Second, you need to download ProtectionID (Google for it) and scan the disc and/or install directory to find out what the copy protection is (including the version number). I believe it's SecuROM, but check it to be sure. Once we know more, then we can hopefully help you make a working backup.

I got the same problem using the Image Making Wizard, copy/dumped to a folder then used the Image Burning Wizard to burn to a disc. Protection ID says SecuROM Ver 7.21.0012

I also downloaded Y.A.S.U
(1.05:
Fixed SecuROM 7.30 Blacklist(s)...
Y.A.S.U now hides physical CD/DVD-ROM Devices (Required for new SecuROM)

but the message still came up "please insert..."

Since it is a SecuROM 7 copy protected DVD game you must:
1. Check the "Data Position Measurment" option when making the image and obtain the DPM data with high preccission and at maximum speed.
2. Check the option "Burn the RMPS data...( e.t.c.)" when burning the image.
3. Enable the RMPS emulation in Alcohol's emulation options.
Then you can use the burned disk to play the game with it.

The used currency is Euro. You can pay with credit cards, bank transfer within the UK or Germany or with PayPal. Your account or credit card will be deduced with the equivalent of 29 or 59 Euros. Hope this helps.
