Call of Duty backup Gameplay issues

I made a sucessfull backup of my original Call of Duty cd.
I was testing my backup CD and I noticed that after a while playing the game "crashes".
What I mean is that although the game keeps running, the objectives doesn't update right after I finish a task, or worse, all my teammates get laggy or paralyzed!
So I have to quit and start the level all over and hope it doesn't crash.
That problem happened when I played COD in my HP notebook. The DVD-RW drive is GMA-4082N. And I installed Alcohol 52% in my notebook in order to play it.
I made a image and burn it with safedisc 3 on my desktop. I will post both my system info (desktop and note).

Do you play the game on another PC too? If yes, do you play it with the backup disk in a CD/DVD RW drive or in a CD/DVD R one? It may be a blacklisting by the means of ATIP reading, try enabling the "Hide Media Type" in Alcohol's emulation options when playing with the disk in an RW drive( note that Nero and other programs won't recognize your rewritable disks as such as far as you have this option enabled).

I played a little on my desktop with my original disk... I'll try to play it with my backup to see what happens. I didn't quite get your question, but my backup is a CD-RW. And In my note I have a DVD-RW drive and in my desktop I have both DVD-RW and CD-RW drives.
This "Hide Media Type" option is the "Ignore Media Type" right? I have that enabled.
Any other suggestion?
And answer me a question: If I can play the game directly from the image (using virtual drive) then it is not a image problem, but a drive issue right? Can It be "fixed"?

Checking in the Alcohol's Copy Protection Database revealed that the game is copy protected with Safedisk 3.10. This is a difficult and very hardware dependant protection sheme to be copied in a backup. Try to copy it with the Alcohol's RMPS v2( made for Safedisk) emulation:
1.Rip the game with the Safedisk 2/3/4 datatype.
2.Burn it with the same datatype. You'll see the option "Burn RMPS data to the disk" checked, let it so.
3.In the Alcohol's emulation options enable the RMPS emulation.
Also you'd better use a CD-R and not a CD-RW, you make things harder this way. Try once again with the CD-RW if you want in case it works so as to avoid making a coaster in case it doesn't, but if it doesn't work you should risk it with a CD-R or just stay with the working image.

Use the SafeDisc 2/3 datatype with a low (or lowest) read/write speed for best results.

@jpnski
As zamiel says the "Ignore Media type" and "RMPS Emulation" options are needed to play the game from a backup( the first only if the used drive is a burner). However if you use the Safedisk 2/3/4 datatype you do need to burn the disk with the RMPS data as you'll be given the option, and of course to enable the RMPS emulation in order to be able to play the game with it.

There are some odd things going on though. It is a CD not a DVD. I am using the same read image for all the different writes. I used the Sony DVD burner for the read and all the writes. I left everything unchecked in emulation like you instructed. I used the slowest speed = 8X and the data type setting for SafeDisc 2/3/4. The copy protection is version 3.20.030 on this game NFS Underground 2 (Disc 2). The result was a coaster. I tried several different settings = all coasters.
The setting that did work = speed at 8X and I unchecked RMPS.
I am able to play the game in the Sony DVD burner with Alcohol not running in the background, so no ignore media type, RMPS or emulation running at all. Is that supposed to happen?
I am able to just stick the backup copy in the burner and it starts up just as fast as the original. It does not hang for a bit at the flash screen.
How come on the image burning wizard on data type SafeDisc 2/3/4 the write speed defaults to maximum and it checks RMPS to recordable media? If you should use a slow speed and RMPS checked caused coasters for me. Is it different for different burners?
Thanks for all the help and Info!!!

I think the thing that did it for me the most was setting the write speed down to 4X & RMPS for NFSUG-2.
A tip for people that need to back up safedisc games. The Sony does nice burns but it takes over 2 hours to read through the read errors while the Lite-on goes through all the read errors in SECONDS!!!
So there you have it. Still, please feel free to comment on anything here because I can always use your help.
