Making/Burning images of CDs are rather more complicated than DVDs, so there are profiles provided for CDs, and for the sake of simplicity there are not for DVDs.

However, a lot of users get used to the CD profiles, so they find it uncomfortable and confusing when making/burning DVD images.

Maybe Alcohol could just add three profiles for DVDs: Starforce, SecuRom and SafeDisc, to reduce users' anxiety, and make Alcohol more consistent.

Thank you for your attention.

Just like to support what MaLing is requesting. It would make things easier when backing up the newer dvd games and would save searching these (and CDFreaks) forums every time I am copying a dvd game to refresh my memory of which setting for which protection. I know it is only a couple of boxes to tick dependant on type of copy protection but, like cd profiles it would be a nice feature to have.

Cheers

For consideration
