Hi,

Have successfully backed up Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 + Soaked + Wild expansion packes onto hard drive using Alcohol 120%.

Coaster Tycoon 3 + Soaked expansion worked fine but I had to patch 'Wild' expansion and use SR7.Stop to hide virtual drive as the message said I had to use original disc in a different drive.

Now I have used the image burning wizard to burn to discs and again Tycoon 3 + Soaked expansion worked fine but error received while burning image of 'Wild' expansion.

Copied image from all discs using Securom 4#5#7# at scan speed 1

Burned all discs at speed 8x and left all other settings the same.

Error report as follows:

Your system report shows error [03/0C/00] - Write Error this is a blank media error, try another disc or brand of disc.

Thanks for advice, I have just tried SONY CD-R Supremas, went up to 90% then failed.

could it still be wrong media type? what would be a more suitable type?

here is log:

Your system report is still showing blank media error, you could check if you are running the latest firmware for your drives or try reducing your write speed

Hi, thanks for viewing log again.

Have now tried a Verbatim and still the same but went up to 91.3%then failed. There seems to be data on the disc and when I run the setup, it seemed to load but when I ejected the disc and put it back in, I couldnt access it. 'My Computer' ends up Not Responding!

I have used the minimum 8x record speed on all occasions, is there a way to get it slower?

many thanks
Jimmy

If you've used several types of media and it fails every time with a blank media error, then you might have to consider that your drive is failing. Did you try updating the firmware as suggested above? If so, and it's still happening, I would look into a new DVD±RW drive. They're not very expensive.

Hi, thank you for reply, I have the latest firmware so if you say the other option is different drive, I will try that hopefully in a couple of days.

Thanks

Jimmy

Thanks for all your help, I tried again with the cheapest CD (ASDA own brand) and it worked perfectly on a different DVD writer (Sony)

It seems my HP Lightscribe was having issues although it did burn the other discs without problems.

Thanks again
Jimmy
