Cannot locate DVD-ROM

Hi, i have a big problem here and weeks. I did an .iso from the contents of a game cd my friend had but whenever i mount it after a couple of steps at the same place it comes p with the following error Cannot locate DVD-ROM Please insert the correct DVD-ROM, select OK and restart aplication. Any help will be much appreciated
