I noticed as I was browsing some of my usual haunts that DT Pro has something called vIDE. I assume this is to bypass some of the more recent protections. So my question is, will Alcohol see something similar in the near future. I would also be interested to know if there is any relationship between DT development and Alcohol development. Seemed to be in the past but with the advent of DT Pro, I'm not sure.

DTools and ASoft development still work closely together, but not everything that's implemented by one will necessarily be carried over to the other's product. From what I've read, it's unlikely that vIDE will be implemented into Alcohol.

That would make sense I suppose. I imagine that as long as YASU continues to develop it's product to work with Alcohol, vIDE would be unnecessary.

vIDE asJito463 says is a Daemon tools pro product, it will not be instegated into Alcohol, while both companys do work closly together it would be robbing peter to pay paul if we included all aspects of both softwares, You will find shortly that a new option to alcohol will be included in our next up date one that we hope will benifit our users. as both Daemon Tools Pro and Alcohol are exceptional software in their own fields and as the price for both is well within reason having the two on your PC should give you the best overall coverage for your needs.

Good point. Thanks for the replies and clarification Jito463 and Phoenix. Alcohol has been a staple in my computer arsenal for quite some time. I look forward to what the future holds for this fine program on the new development front.
