The Alcohol Trial Version is for only 30 days of use, any attempt to use it further e.g. by formating and reinstalling is against the EULA. If you want to still use Alcohol 120% you must buy it( as for Alcohol 52% you can use the free version available).

If you use a "blocking" version after the trial has expired then this would be illegal. On our website the first paragraph on the trial page reads:

"Alcohol Soft Software can be evaluated for a free 30 day trial period with no limitations in capabilities, other than a restriction on the number of virtual drives available."

For the rest, see Charalambos's post.

I think by "blocked", he simply meant that the trial had expired and he could no longer use it, not that he had modified it. Why anyone would WANT to keep a non-functioning program on their hard drive is beyond me, however.

But in answer to the question posed, it is not illegal, though it would serve no purpose since the functionality would be disabled at that point.

Changes in the new Trial versions means that the trial will expire after 15 days not 30. at this time you should remove the trial version from your PC and if you wish to continue using the software you should purchase our full retail version from http://shop.alcohol-...en/purchase.php

I will try write something more:

I`m computer forensic investigator. We check computers if they have illegal software.

And you are asking why keep blocked Alcohol ?

People many times do something like that: They install Alcohol Trial, they use it 30 or 15 days. And afther that they sometimes forgot about expired blocked version on their hard disk drive.

Some programs got writen in Licens that afther expire trila you must del the program becouse keeping that program on HDD will be unlegal.

So do Alcohol got something like that in licens? Becouse i can`t find it ? And if not , so the people do not break the licens and low. They can keep forgoten blocked alcohol ?

Presently it is not against the EULA to keep an expired version of our software on your PC however it is against the EULA to circumnavigate any method used to prevent the software functioning after the trial period has expired. Changes to the EULA will come into effect next year where the user will be informed in the EULA that they must remove the software at the end of the trial period.

I hope that clarifies the present situation for you.
