Is your drive on the supported drive list? If so, please try another brand of discs and / or slowing down the writing speed. Your could also try remaking the image using Alcohol's native MDF/S format. Failing that, you could also try updating the drives firmware.

Actually it is weird cause I do have a mds file, if I hadn't extracted it with Alcohol it would have bee only an ISO right?
And how would I check if my drive is supported on the drive list? as well as updating its firmware.

You can check if your drive is on the supported drives list here: http://support.alcoh...m/en/drives.php
Please consult the drives manufacturer's website with regards to updating the drives firmware. You may have the latest, but they should have instructions on how to do this.

Actually I'm having this same problem trying to backup another image that is over 4 gigs, all the otehr backups that I did where under 4 gigs and worked fine.

Windows Xp and it was originally FAt32 but I had to cnvert to NFTS in order to create images bigger than 4 gigs. Still wouldn't work tough.

Unfortunately I tried this and Acer does not give me the option to do so, is there a tutorial for splitting images or is it just an option that I check before backing up my copy?

I run out of DVDs sadly and haven't been able to do it, but do I jut burn the twi piece sof image in the same DVD and it will know when to read one and the other? O.o

Th image burning wizard would only let me select 1 MDF file tough.
