What sort of error messages?

What settings are you using to make the image?

I used the safedisk setting to make an image and it didn't work.

The image mounts, the game starts, and it tells me to insert the CD.

Have you tried cloaking your drives with the A.C.I.D wizard and or disabling your physical optical drives with the EDM Manager inside Alcohol?

You could also try remaking the image using the slowest possible read speed. We are presently investigating this game for possible blacklisting issue.

If you could explain this, I'd appreciate it. I'll try rewriting the image.

Disabling drives with EDM manager doesn't work.

I'm not sure what the A.C.I.D. wizard is.

I wrote to nuno in support as well and I have had no joy.

Even tried Daemon, (washing mouth out with soap), and nothing works yet.

Must be a masking or blacklisting issue with 4.89.

As Zamiel has already mentioned, we are looking into this.

Excellent. I have the DVD so it's not a big issue, but I'd prefer to just be able to play it from my hard drive.

Juhu, same wish! I have read, that the copy-protection is not very "healthy" for DVD-reader's life. So it's better to run the game from HDD-image than playing from original DVD.

Thanks, SoundBloundBl@ster

Hi All,

Any news on this?

I also tried copying World at War, but when I insert the DVD to play the game it asks for the original.

I would really appreciate some help.

Kind Regards!!

Have you tried with the latest version of Alcohol (1.9.8.7612) which also includes the latest version of ACID (1.1.9040)?

Charalambos,

I do have the latest version.

Could you perhaps be so kind as to run me through the detailed process of copying Call of Duty World at War?

Maybe I am doing something wrong, so some instructions would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards...

As far as the game is copy protected by Safedisk (if I'm not mistaken) just use the Safedisk profile for DVDs (it is a DVD, isn't it) and make the image. You are advised to install from the image (some games seek for their CD/DVD in the drive that were installed from) after mounting it of course to a virtual drive. If the game doesn't play and you get error messages like "insert the correct disk e.t.c." try to temporarily disable/uninstall your physical IDE drives with the Alcohol's EDM system (you can find it in the Alcohol's "View" drop down menu) and/or cloack the Alcohol's virtual SCSI drives with ACID (which you can find in the Alcohol's Start Menu entry).

Ok, will try. Not entirely sure what this all means, but I am not too stupid, so I will see how far I get.

Thanks for the response so far, I will get back to you if I am still stuck...

Regards

I down loaded the trial at first to see if it worked, it did these are my exact steps as i had the game running. i then proceeded to buy the software

1. insert the CD into your DVD-ROM drive.
2. wait for the autorun.exe to appear (i use windows7, also showing in vista)
3. select image making wizard in the Alcohol 120% and/or Alcohol 52% program
4. set read speed to your lowest possible speed
5. click next choose the image destination path
6. continue to create the image
7. after image is complete select the image from your Alcohol program
8. mount to your virtual drive
9. in the options category click on emulation and check RMPS Emulation
10. run the game by double clicking on the virtual drive the image is mounted to, it will ask you to install proceed
11. depending on your operating system id suggest a restart after installing the game then run after u have.

those where my exact steps in it and it works for me.
