I posted this question in the DT forum:

Hi,

I recently installed the trial for DT Pro Adv. and noticed that the minimum DPM read speed in DT is x4. However, in Alcohol 120% I'm able to select x1. Any idea why x4 is the lowest available in DT?

The response I received was:

DT gets the speeds directly from the drives.
Alcohol only offers a variety of speeds for every drive.

I was hoping you all could shed some more light on what's going on. When 120% offers me the option "x1" does this mean it is actually is reading at x1 or is this just an estimate and 120% could in fact be reading at x4?

The guys in Daemon Tools may say what they want, nevertheless 1x DPM in Alcohol is 1x DPM whether they like it or not.
