I reloaded vista on my laptop, and now trying to reinstall Alcohol 120%. It first told me that the SN belonged to another computer, (my old system before I re-installed vista) so I logged on to Alcohol's web sight under my user name and deleted my old system and added my new system.
It now says:
"This version of Alcohol 120% does not support any trial period. You must enter a valid serial number to activate the version. Alcohol will now shutdown."
OK... I know my license key has expired, but thats just for getting up-dates right? I'm trying to re-install my old version of 120% that I purchased, I have the back-up CD right here in my hand.
I not trying to up-date to a newer version, I just want to use my old version and get it activated.

Have a look at the FAQ section, there is a new topic about registering problems in Windows 7 which also describes how to add a new hardware key.

Thanks for the reply.
Yes I have already selected the new hardware key and under my activation page it says the my new hardware key is currently active, but I still can't get though the License key entry. It tells me the above message.....in my first post.

First I didn't call support, I'd thought I'd try one last time before I gave them a call. THIS time I used all upper-case letter keys.... BINGO......
Apartley the serial key is case senative....
Sorry for all the confusion.

Passwords are usually case sensitive, so does this one. Anyway, it's good that you solved your problem.
