hello,

I created an image with ultraIso in bin-cue.

On a Vista the image is assembled, on a XP the same image is also assembled, but on another XP the image is not assembled. The Iso images on the other hand are seen correctly on this last.

The symptoms are that the assembled image solidifies the Windows explorer. The only means even after a restarting, because the assembled image remains, it is to make a reset of the parameters of the configuration of the virtual reader change information of this one them.

Configuration of the computer which poses problem: XP sp3, antivirus Officescan 10 but removed for the moment for tried to solve the problem. Only the other virtual reader who is installed, it is that of Acronis 9.7.

Thank you for your assistance.

Try uninstalling and then reinstalling Alcohol after rebooting.

Do you have problems with other images (in general and especially que/bin ones)?

.iso -> OK
Bin,cue (data) -> OK
Bin,cue (CD audio) -> not working

Can you submit the contents of a cue sheet of one of these images (just open it with notepad and copy and paste its content)?
Also try uninstalling Acronis and its virtual drive in case there is a conflict between the two programs.

Can you be more specific about how you "reset the parameters" as you say? By the way is there any problem after the restart and if yes what?

----------------

the reset is change a parameter of virtual drive in: option -> virtual drive. So the CD is ejected because the access of unmunt is not accessible.

Well, this is really weird and I can't think of anything else. Let's hope that the next version of Alcohol won't exhibit this problem in this system. Yet you can still use audio CD images in the ccd/img/sub or mds/mdf format.

Now that I think of it this entry is a bit strange. Does this file really exist? Try deleting this entry in case that it helps.

Sorry, I suppose it is the whole bin file. blush.gif

I tested with files of “clones Cd” and “Alcohol”: that made in the same way.

Another information: In the program in the low part, there are the virtual readers and the readers physique. When an image “Cd audio” is assembled, there is no more the possibility of having the contextual menu to manage the reader. That made plant the program by sending the report at Microsoft. Instead of reseter the parameter of the virtual reader, I go in dismounting all the readers, and at this time, the application is not blocked more when one uses the menus contextual, since it does not have any more media.

Can you push up the information ?

from alcohol:

Please also go to Start -> Run and type regedit.exe and run it, then browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}, then please let me know exactly the values you have for the keys LowerFilters and UpperFilters.

--------

Please do a test, rename LowerFilters key to _LowerFilters and UpperFilters key to _UpperFilters, then restart Windows and check if you get the same problem.

If you get same problem you can just rename the keys back to original names.
