I am getting a BSOD whenever i try to install either 52% free or 120 trial from your site. It says it will continue after reboot but it locks up and i get the infamous BSOD. I have no minidump file anywhere to be found. System specs are AMD Athlon 64 3800+ single core with win xp pro SP 3. I can use the last known good configuration to get back into my system but safe mode doesn't load. AFter i log in with last known good config Alcohol will pop up with the install will continue after reboot. I want to say its a DEP problem as i found a previos FAQ labeled Alcohol AMD 64 and DEP but can't seem to understand teh solution as teh attached screenshots do not load.

Edit
Adding i have avast AV and an ati radeon 4850 vid card as i saw those also listed in tech as a potential conflict

Sorry, without a minidump it would be quite hard to pinpoint where the conflict might lie. Have you tried to install in Safe Mode?

Do you have this option activated? Have a look at My Computer>Properties (in the right-cick pop-up menu)>Advanced>Restart and Restore. If the error log option isn't set to minidump (64K) just adjust it. Also check which is the mindump's folder (the default is C:\Windows\minidump).

Would assume he does seeming there are ones from mozilla in there, unless you've disabled it since. Perhaps the "crash" is bad enough not to be able to write one out.

Have you tried installing the stand alone SPTD driver from www.duplexsecure.com first, reboot, then install Alcohol?

He found this minidump after searching his whole computer so I thought that we can't be sure where he found it and what it really is (maybe a dump from mozilla itself?). Anyway he can have a look- just in case. smile.gif
