Hi,
I would like to know if is possible to burn, and how to do, the installation DVDs from an .iso larger then 4.7 GB. I have the iso of solidworks install program, but I want to burn it in 2 DVDs so that when I insert the first dvd the install begins and then it ask for the 2 dvd, just like usually are for softwares that came in 2 or plus dvd.

Alcohol does not span discs, you would need to make seperate images of both discs.

Er, I know what an ISO image is, I was referring to how YOU actually made it, which in this case you didn't. As this has now become a technical question, you will need to post a system report as per http://forum.alcohol...before-posting/ thanks.

As Phoenix replied, Alcohol will not automatically split the disc, your options are:

1) Burn the disc to a Dual Layer disc. 6GB is larger than a single layer DVD, but smaller than a dual layer DVD.
2) Mount the image on the virtual drive and pick enough files (4G of them) to burn to the first DVD and when finished, burn the remaining files to a second disc. You can also extract the contents of the ISO using various other tools available on the internet, but you will still need to do the splitting manually yourself.

If the ISO contains a single file larger than 4G then your out of luck unless it is video which then you will need to look at a form of video compression to reduce the size to fit on a single disc.
