Using Alcohol 52% FE on Windows 7 SP1 x64 Ultimate.

From time to time windows 7 explorer hangs if a drive is right-clicked, for example to get its properties. It doesnt happen for files or directories and if an alcohol related drive has already been accessed using right click, such as to dismount a virtual CD, then it doesnt happen after that either.

However, as Win7 explorer doesnt show disk free space (grrrr....) I use right clicks on drives fairly frequently so decided to sort it out. I used ShellExView to disable all non-Microsoft shell extensions and then put them back until I found the culprit which turned out to be the AlcoholShellEx64 Class, AxShlEx64.dll. Unfortunately disabling this removed the right-click option to dismount drives.

I thought I would raise this as I expect it will also occur with other versions of 52%, possibly with 120% and is sufficiently intermittent that it may be annoying others often, but not to the point that they have raised it.

Please post your system report from within Alcohol per the forum rules:

System report viewed and removed.
It is possible that Alcohol conflicts with other software on your system. Do you have any other similar programs installed? Also which security program(s) do you have installed?
Also it would be good for the Alcohol Development Team to have a look into this problem to check if it is reproducable on other systems.

There is no other disk mounting software like alcohol on the system; happy to send a system information type report if that would help. Security is Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.6.

Well, I think you'll have to be a little patient untill the Development Team has a look at your issue, if they are able to reproduce and solve it then it will probably be fixed in the next version.
