Hi, Yes I'm running the Latest version of Alcohol 120% 2.0.2 build 3931 but i can't check for update at all,

i have heard that Retail version needs internet connection to be active, that's why i am so sensitive about it,

because even if i buy the application i can't active it.

What now?

If you are not connected to the internet then yes you will get this error message after all it would be impossible for Alcohol to check if there was a new version avaiable if the machine it is installed on is not connected to the internet.

If you do have an internet connection on the machine that Alcohol is installed on and you get this message Please look at C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file using Notepad and if you find any entries for our servers just remove them and try again.

The retail version does requier an internet connection for first activation, however if you have a valid reason why the machine is not connected to the internet then it is possible that we can find a solution for you to activate the software.
