When I create DVD image with DPM High/x4 it takes about 30 minutes (I suppose that it read whole disc). When I am using x1 speed it takes few minutes, so it obviously doesn't read whole disc.
So is reading whole disc for DPM helping in something like accurancy? If yes, why I could not activate it with x1 DPM? If not, while it is activated with x4 DPM?
DVD DPM x1 faster than DVD DPM x 4

DVDs are better handled with high speeds of DPM. It also seems that Alcohol can't obtain the DPM data from this DVD at 1x speed. Do you get any error messages? Try logging the reading process (you must enable the logging of the reading process in the Alcohol's options) and have a look at the log to see what it says.

I ripped again. No errors. This time 1x was slower, but not much:
1x - 24 min
4x - 18 min.
You said, that faster DPM speeds are better for DVDs. It might be nice idea to add this information to FAQ/manual, as currently it strongly recommend using always 1x speed. What is optimal DPM speed for DVDs? How can I check DPM accuracy?

Theoretically the minimum - 1x - DPM speed the better for CDs, the maximum DPM speed the better for DVDs. Practically if you don't have the desired result with one speed you try with another one until you make a working image. There used to be a tool called MDS Viewer with which you could check the DPM data of an mdf/mds image but I don't know if it is still available and where.

It's mentioned here: http://support.alcoh...m protected DVDIt might be nice idea to add this information to FAQ
But you're right: there are places in the FAQ/manual where it's different
