Hi

I'm using the most recent free version of Alcohol on my Windows 10 x64 notebook.

After installing I can run up to 2 virtual drives, but only untill I restart the computer. After restarting, virtual drives disappear and I have to reinstall Alcohol to use the software again.

Please advise me what to do to avoid reinstalling Alcohol over and over again.

Thanks

Niko

What version of Windows 10 do you have? Do you have other related sofware (imaging/burning/virtual drives)? Which version of Alcohol are you using (are you sure that it is the latest one)?

Yes, you have Windows 10 but what edition (1511,1607 etc.). You can check it in your computers properties or by typing winver in the command prompt.

That must be a rather new edition, it may be a problem of Windows 10 then. Let's see if there will be other reports of the same problem and the Development Team should have a look at it. As for a solution to the problem you can try to uninstall Alcohol, then uninstall SPTD 2.12 with its standalone installer/uninstaller from www.duplexsecure.com, reboot and then try to install SPTD and Alcohol again.

You may want to check your anti-virus logs to see if it's somehow falsely flagging the device driver for Alcohol.
