I just bought "The Lord of the Rings" 4 disc extended version for $25.00 U.S. What is up with this?! I can buy a 4 disc DVD for $25.00 but I have to spend $18.00 for a music CD. The logic escapes me. Seems like it would cost more money to pay all the people involved in a DVDs creation than it would to pay all the people involved in a CDs creation.

Well, damn! Of coarse THAT one is $80.00. The one I purchased is just the four disks. Nothing fancy.

I was stubborn enough to wait until they released the extended addition of LOTR. It was nice but nothing too big. I would say wait until all of them run through movie theaters and by the whole thing

Yeah but I don't think I can wait another two years....
I had mine delivered when it was released, and it means I have to wait a year for the next 4 disc set and another year after that for the second, (4 x 3 = 12 DVD's
But it really is worth it.. the extras are great and film looks fantastic!!!!
