Yea, I have a Ti4200 and will probably keep it until the price of the FX comes down to around $130 - $150 U.S. smile.gif

You have to remember that nVidia has yet to announce what exactly the NV31 and NV35 will be. The two chips are supposed to be announced in January... could they be ultra versions...

However remembering that a jump of NVx5 usually means a chip the next generation..., i.e. NV10, NV15, NV20, NV25 etc...

I hate to think what the FX is gonna cost.

Well here's a thought for you...

I have a Gainward GeForce Ultra 650 XP Golden Sample, I bought for a total of £150 (including tax, etc). it's a Ti4200 card.

However it runs fine at clock speeds of 320/630, and considering that a stock GeForce Ti4600 is running at 300/600 I think it's proce performance ration is excellent.

Yep, that's pretty good. MSI and Asus Ti4200 right now are CDN$269.00 (I paid $299.00). Have it mildly o/c'd but am hesitant to go too far, don't want to blow it up biggrin.gif

Why not increase the values in increments of 5MHz and see how far you can go.

32 128 micro-proccessor array......damn thats sounds sexy.

its graphics chip, but finnaly one thats *new* and well desgined. this is the fisrt time since the original geforce 256 that im actually excited about a video card realease. its interesting to note that this is the first collaboration product from nvidia and 3fdx's rampage team. looks good too, you can see that finally this is getting closer to a real GPU, not just a transformation/ligthing monster with to many usless pipelines. i like the description of it being a streams capable proccesssor, where it can just grap insrtuctions and run full tilt with all the mini-engines doing work at once.....very cool.

even more interesting the simulated hardware and design has existed for 2 years, just waiting for the technology to impliment it, and the memory to feed it..makes me wonder whats under wraps and entering final develpoment *now*....

*sigh* looks like maxx needs a new pair a shoes, now i can finally dump this gf2 smile.gif

Unfortunatley i need another Harddrive first as my 40GB is getting to small, once i got a second one then i´ll be looking for a New Graphic Card and with the New Geforce the prices from the older models should drop down a bit. wink.gif
