Has anyone actually got this game to play out of the box? dry.gif This Microsoft game, which "should've" given me the warning flag, won't even play on my system angry.gif I got the "no DVD error" WITH THE ORIGINAL DVD, so I uninstalled Alcohol 120% and retried. Same exact result as before, both times with the original DVD!. I've gone to the Epic games web site and found almost every thing but death threats on their forum rolleyes.gif One suggestion made the game "play", if you'd want to call it that, by disabling/uninstalling the IDE & SATA drivers on the motherboard. It crashed on "options" menu as I was setting up the keys and brightness dry.gif PATHETIC! When I actually got past that part, after several "application had encountered a problem and will shut-down" messages, it played for 10~15 SECONDS and crashed again, over and over blink.gif After several exchanges at Wal-mart with no improvements, manager decided to refund me with a gift card dry.gif I've also written a "nasty" review for the game as well to inform the consumer of the problems associated with the game... Information is power to the consumers rolleyes.gif I think I'll be doing more research from now on BEFORE doing out to spend $50+ on the next game, no matter who makes them or how badly I want them whistling.gif
BSOD? it's got nothing on this new threat to gamers...

If there are no other emulation programmes in your computer, like Y.A.S.U, CloneCD, Daemon Tools etc, and still cannot not start the game from the original disc, then it is the fault of the game.

A compliant should be submitted.

Apparently, there are numerous issues with this particular PC game crashing, according to what I read at Epicgames.com forum. Some people had success doing their own regedits and with suggestions from others, etc. I was so fed up with this game, I demanded my money back from Wal-mart with printout in hand from the above mentioned forum indicating what others are complaining about this game and my own personal "battles" trying to play this game from the original disc! Well, needless to say, they put up a big fuss about copy rights law etc, but in the long run I got my refund and a sore throat from all the talking with the manager. My suggestion to all who is thinking of buying this game... sign up for epicgames.com forum and keep on eye on the posts and see if things change that'll solve the problems with the game, as in SERIOUS patch/updates or you'll have to live with the head/heartache as I did and not to mention the disappointment.

Although you got your 'money' refunded, it actually was a gift card only. Well...
