From June 20th till June 22 our clan held it's 7th annual LAN party. This year it was in Spokane Washington, and Alcohol was one of the sponsors. I am getting some of the pics up for viewing, but here are a few you might like...

Grats hope you had fun, I saw you had a female in your Clan. Also by the looks of things Crucial and Thermal take were major sponsors in this event?

There are quite a few females in the clan, most of them play WOW. The biggest sponsor was actually PalitLan, they donated 4 video cards each were pretty impressive (all were cards in value between $400-$500 a piece). All sponsors donated what they had, some are starting to get out of LAN sponsorships, others are just starting to get back into it. Alcohol was gracious enough to donate 10 copies of 120%!!!

More pics to come. Next year we are going to be in Denver Colorado. It will be open to the public for the second year in a row. Registration fees do apply, but with all the swag you walk away with it fits the price.

I know this is a bit off topic but when you look at the PC gaming market I see less and less BIG hit titles coming out and see why the LAN events are going down. This does not mean that people do LANs dont, but at the current time the home grown LANs are harder to pull off like it was just a few years back. Heck I can say XBox 360 game fest and get more people than I can handle. IF I say LAN I have to tempt people to come. I know this isn't the case in all location but I am just talking in what I have seen and evens I did myself.

Yes and when you charge a fee to come in and participate it keeps others from wanting to participate as well. We opened it up to the public this year, but there was a nominal fee to get in the door. Some protested, but when they saw the prizes, some seemed to be ok with it. Next year we will start promoting it more to the public sooner to lock up the sponsors, and to increase the numbers.

But alas you are right Ty, it is hard to get the public to come, but our members always show up!

Keep checking Mayhemteam.com Right now the place and dates are still being decided, the event should start getting finalized once the hotel is picked. I'm sure that if Alcohol would mind being a sponsor agin, I could possible talk Quinton or Phoenix into getting a link up for it... whistling.gif when we get closer to it.
