Is it possible to use alcohol 120% to turn an avi file into an iso? I have only seen how to create copies of dvd/cds.

Whether it is possible or not, I also have another question. Will converting an avi to an iso give better quality of the avi files than just burning the avi straight onto the disc? Thank you :)

AVI is a video format. ISO is a storage format. You do not convert an AVI to an ISO, rather you add an AVI to an ISO as you would to a ZIP file, therefore you get no quality improvements. Generally speaking, compression is one way, once it's applied you can't get back to the original.

I have not tried this ever. However, I think zamiel's opinion is reasonable.

I have edited your profile as it did not comply with the posting guidelines no. 1 and 7.

Let's say that we have an optical disk (CD,DVD e.t.c.) which contains an AVI file. An ISO file is an image of this disk, so it contains the AVI file (along with any other file on the disk).
I hope that helps.
