Hello,

I installed Alcohol 52% version 2.0.2 (build 4713) on Windows XP Professional SP3

I notice that every time I boot my PC the Driver name is changed in registry.

It's an eight characters and numbers random name, here:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\Scsi\Scsi Port 1]

Driver=arx88yxq  <------ (this is an example)

As a conseguence, the service name changes too:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\arx88yxq]

My questions:

Why it changes every boot?

Is it possible to maintain the same name?

Thanks

It changes so as to avoid the blacklisting by certain copy protections. It isn't possible to maintain the same name but I don't think it's a problem.
