Hi, I'm trying to use Alcohol 120% to burn an mdfs file to my dvd so that I can play a game, since the game requires a DVD.

I go through the image burning Wizard, but after I select the mdfs file and click "Next" I get this screen:

http://prntscr.com/bg353e

Everything is grayed out so I can't click anything, I don't know what to do. Can someone please help?

Thanks in advance.

It seems that Alcohol can't detect your burner. Is it showing in the Device Manager? Maybe it is reported to have a problem and not work normally?

Yeah it is.

It's an external DVD Drive that's plugged in through a USB, so do you think that might cause a problem with it?

I know that the program should be able to pick it up because I made a copy of the DVD in the mdfs format through the burner.

You mean that it was detecting your drive and now it doesn't? Do you have any internal drives in this system? Have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling Alcohol (don't forget to reboot in between if you do it now)? Also is the drive showing in the Windows Explorer? And, finally, are you sure that it is a burner (showing as DVD RW in Windows Explorer) and not just a DVD ROM drive?

That might be the case, I think it still detects the drive though cause when I set it up it sees there's a G drive there (which is what the disc is in). I'm not sure if it's a DVD ROM or not, because it says this: http://prntscr.com/bgt5ma

The image says DVD-ROM but the description says DVD/CD-RW.

Could the problem be that it's just a DVD ROM?

No it is a combo DVD-ROM/CD-RW. That means that it can read DVDs but it can burn only CDs. So it can't burn a DVD image to a DVD as you want. You must find another burner in order to do it.
