I can mount and use one image in alcohol but if I try to unmount it, or use other settings, then alcohol crashes to the point that I can't close it without using the task manager. I have to restart the computer if I want to use it briefly again.

when trying to close the program: Failed to create key Basic\UI

I can get a number of Basic\UI\ keys depending on what I try to access.

When trying to load option pages I get this
Cannot open file "C\Program Files (x86)\Alcohol Soft\Alcohol120\AxType.ini", insufficient resources exist to complete the requested service.

Everything else on the computer runs fine and there are plenty of resources available.

Which edition of Windows 10 do you have and which version of Alcohol? Try uninstalling Alcohol after setting the number of virtual drives to zero, reboot and reinstall Alcohol again, this may solve your problem.

Windows 10 Pro build 16299 ver 1709
Alcohol 120% Trial Version 2.0.3 build 9902

I tried setting the drives to 0, then uninstalling/reinstalling but the problem remains. Though it seems that leaving the system running awhile will also cause Alcohol to be unable to start/run.

When did the problem start (e.g. after a program installation or the last Windows Update)?

It's always been an issue since installing Alcohol on this computer. I tried it briefly in the past on a Windows 7 system and there were no issues.

There are no known issues with Windows 10 at the moment. Do you have any other relative programs (disc burning, disc imaging etc.) installed? Also do you have any antivirus software and which one? Try disabling it temporarily and check if it makes any difference. Also try installing the newly released version of Alcohol (2.0.3.10121) in case it makes a difference too.
