The problems of SPTD.sys is well known, expecially for WindowsXP 64 bit edition... this is a crap driver, please, rewrite alcohol with your own driver.

Actually, I've been running SPTD under XP Pro x64 with 0 problems. A few people (comparitively, given how many people use Alcohol) have issues, but a lot of those are issues with their computers. And any true bugs in SPTD (which there will always be some bugs in any program) are fixed fairly quickly.

Now, if you have a specific problem you'd like to request help on, feel free. But this is not a forum for ranting against SPTD or Alcohol. This is a trouble-shooting/technical support forum. Please stay on topic.

You will also need to post a complete system report.

(A little late here)

SPTD can be assumed to be the culprit because when the driver is absent booting occurs normally. I just tried installing it and all I got was BSOD. I tried safe mode and I got BSOD. When prompted to bypass the booting of SPTD I was finally able to boot in safe mode at which point i system restored to earlier in the day when Alcohol 120% wasn't yet installed. I'd LIKE to offer you a system report but since the installation couldn't complete thanks to SPTD.Sys, the program was no where to be found even before i commenced the system restore.
