That article say I don't need to do that for an install issue.

Yes, reading a sentence completely can be of a certain advantage ....
Do you have a error number?
More informations, such as your OS, other soft installed, etc...

Brand new Dell D820, XP, I have Nero Imagedrive installed, which is similar, if that's an issue. The is my work laptop, I don't install garbage on it, so there isn't much besides Firefox, Tbird, secureCRT, nero.

There is software on some Dell machines that prevents Alcohol from installing, it's called Broadcom Trusted Platform Module (when downloaded from the Dell drivers site) and is installed onto the system as Embassy Trusted Platform by Wave Systems. Once this software is uninstalled Alcohol runs fine.

If there is a error message saying Internal Error Contact Support please try the following.

Please highlight the exe file then in the Context Menu choose Run as it should then work.

Hello,
I have the same problem on my computer : "Internal setup error. Contact support" while trying to install Alcohol 52% 4521.
My computer is a generic one, Athlon 1600+, 512Mo Ram.
I always get this message when clinking next at the first dialog box.

Any help ?

Which operating system are you using?

Do you have problems installing other MSI packages?

WinXP Pro, and never had problems on any other MSI packages.

I have downloaded again the .exe from you web site directly, and it work now.
All the files downloaded from Clubic.com didn't work. Strange ...

Please try to disable your real time Antivirus during Alcohol install, if this doesn't help please try to boot Windows in safemode and install Alcohol in this mode.

When I choose Run as administrator, it says "Logon failure: Unknown user name or bad password"
