Battle for Middle-Earth II - I get disk read errors when trying to create the image.
I left all the default settings for both ("Customize" DataType, etc.).
System Info is below. Thanks

2) Those read errors are normal, just let them pass through.

1. I left all settings as default. I didn't realize I needed to set anything specific for DVD's. I read that 52% supports DVD's. What settings do I need to use?
2. The image creation is taking a really long time due to the errors. It was only at 1% after 10 minutes so I assumed something was wrong. I guess I'll leave it overnight and see what happens.
Thanks!!

Again, I'm new...
Do you mean I need to check the Data Position Management checkbox? Do I need this for both games? Thanks again.

I'm assuming your BFM2 is on CD, so no, select the SafeDisc 2/3/4 datatype.

FYI - I used the Image Making Wizard, Custom DataType.
I'll retry the BF2142 image again later using the SafeDisk datatype. Thanks

Zamiel, I suppose you meant to say "You will need to obtain DPM for SecuROM protected DVD's."

Sounds like you didn't install from the image file. No worries, if you feel comfortable playing with the registry (regedit), then open the registry and do a "Find" on Battlefield. You're looking for an entry called "InstallSource." Simply change the Drive letter to the one you've mounted the image file on.

Battlefield 2142 - the image mounts without error. When it runs, the autorun starts and it looks just like it does when I put the real DVD in the drive. I click PLAY NOW and I get the error telling me I need to insert the disk into the drive to play the game. I don't know where to go from here.

Just to let you know I tried that and still no dice with the same problem. Do I have to restart?

new SecuROM requires you to have all your optical drives disabled in device manager. very newest SecuROM from a week or two ago goes even further and requires you to uninstall all optical drives from device manager.
daemon tools is no longer blacklisted by the newest versions of SecuROM, not sure about alcohol.
