The Philips CD-i is fairly old and one could possibly say there is no protection to cause such issues.

Charalambos - the ROMs work perfectly fine in the emulator.
can anyone maybe suggest another burning program capable of burning images? Preferably one that works in Windows 98. I tried one before 120% (cant remember which) but i couldnt even get them to start with that one.

Yeah thats possible. I'd still rather test it out using different burning programs before giving up though. Don't worry you won't lose any business if you recommend another program I'm not gonna pay for a full version.
Also I just thought of this - my CD-i is a NTSC-US console it's possible that the BINs are PAL. One is a prototype which I doubt is PAL though so is there anyway to check the format?
