Umfang der Lifetime Upgrade Version

Hallo,

meine Frage richtet sich, wie schon im Titel erwähnt, an den Umfang der "Lifetime Upgrade Version" - bzw. an den Umfang der Updates. Was bedeutet "Lifetime Upgrade" in Hinblick auf die gekaufte Alcohol 120% Version? Läßt sich dann Alcohol tatsächlich "lebenslang" stehts auf eine aktuelle Version updaten? Oder nur bis zu einem konkreten Entwicklungszeitpunkt (z.B. lebenslanges Upgrade der Version 1.xxx von Alcohol 120% - ab Version 2.xxx muß man dann erneut eine Lizenz kaufen?)
Sollte tatsächlich ein "echtes" lebenslanges Update in der Lizenz enthalten sein, stellt sich mir eine Folgefrage: Ist die Einstellung der Weiterentwicklung für Alcohol 120% zu erwarten? Und wie sieht es im aktuellen Falle von möglichen Betriebssystemumstellungen aus? Ältere Versionen von Alcohol 120% lassen sich auf dem neuen Vista nicht installieren. Die aktuelle Trial-Version hingegen arbeitet bei mir problemlos. Benutzer, die z.B. vor einem Jahr oder zwei Jahren eine "Lifetime-Upgrade-Lizenz" gekauft haben, sofern es dieses Produkt zu dem Zeitpunkt schon gab, bekamen dann kostenlose Upgrades und Installationsdateien für Windows Vista im Falle eines Umstiegs? Oder mußten/müssen sich diese User doch nochmal erneut Alcohol 120% kaufen, um das Produkt nutzen zu können?
Sicherlich würde das bei mir in nächster Zeit keine Rolle spielen, da es einige Jahre dauern wird, bis Microsoft uns mit einem "neuen" Betriebssystem "beglückt", aber es interessiert mich, um mir einen Überblick über die Handhabe in Bezug auf diese Lifetime-Lizenz zu machen.

Ja, ich gebe zu - ich bin mißtrauisch. Aber ein gesundes Mißtrauen ist ja von Vorteil. ;-)

Hallo Nic, wenn du das Lebenslang Lizenz kaufst dann so lang es Alcohol gibt bekommst du Updates/Upgrades kostenlos.

As long as you purchased the unlimited version from Alcohol Soft, yes!

I live in Germany rolleyes.gif , aber ich bewerte mein Deutsch noch nicht so hoch sorry.gif . Wichtig war für mich auch zu verstehen, dass es keine "regionale"
Besonderheiten in dem Sinn gibt, vielen Dank

And I didn't want to start a new thread, so could you please tell me if there won't be any problem with installing on Vista 32bit Deutsch with Service Pack 2?

I understand, no problem!
As long as you purchase the unlimited version of Alcohol Soft, there are no regional limitations whatever. I haven't heard anything about the service pack 2 yet, so we'll have to wait till the devs say anything about it.
