Alcohol 52 terminates itself

Hi

I have just installed Alcohol 52 version 1.9.7.6221 and I want to back up my cd's and dvd's
The program starts and everything is fine, but when I start the Image making wizard, the program terminates itself.
I have tried to re-install the program, but it doesn't help.
I'm running win xp sp 2 btw.

I removed your system report after reviewing it, thank you. Are you running this under an Administrator account, or a Limited User account? Does Alcohol crash on any of the other options (for example, Image Burning Wizard)? One option you could try is to uninstall Alcohol again, then confirm that all files are deleted from C:\Program Files\Alcohol Soft\ (assuming you used the default install path), and then reinstall.

It's 52%, so I can't burn... anyway, everything else works fine. I can emulate, find images etc. The image making wizard is the only problem.
My account is an administrator account.
I'll try to reinstall it the way you said tomorrow!

I made a clean reinstall, but it still didn't help.
What is the event viewer?
Could the problems possibly have anything to do with low disc space on my windows partition(The program runs from a different one)?

The event viewer is a log of applications, security and system information. To access it rightclick on "My Computer" icon, click on "Management" in the pop-up menu and in this way you will open the Computer Managment tool. In the tree in the left click on "Event Viewer" and you'll see it's three mentioned subcategories. Look in the "Application" and "System" ones for any reported errors related to Alcohol or SPTD.
Also try to free some space on your Windows partition in case it has to do with it. By the way, how far you can go in the Image Making Wizard? Are you able e.g. to select the folder in which the image is going to be created before the program terminates?

There are no error reports related to Alcohol or SPTD.
I have tidied my disk, but it didn't help.
The program terminates about half a second after i've opened the image making wizard. I can see the Image Making Wizard window for that brief moment. I don't know if I can select anything, since it goes away that fast.

Most probably Alcohol is conflicting with something else and from your system report it seems that you have a lot of applications installed. A clean install of Windows and then Alcohol and installing your applications one by one is perhaps the only way to find the problem, if of course you are ready to go through all this procedure.
