Rebooting/Restarting to complete installation of 52 AND 120 yields no

I know this issue has been raised before, but I am not technically savvy enough to follow the instructions. 1000 pardons!

 

I have a Windows 8 laptop with a Windows 7 ClassicShell emulator. I have tried installing both Alcohol 52 from both a disc as well as through download, as well as Alcohol120 through download. 

 

In all cases, I get the message that I need to restart/reboot the computer to complete the installation. When I restart/reboot, though, nothing happens/ the installation doesn't complete.

 

Can someone walk me through the process of fixing this problem as if I had only very basic computer skills (which is pretty much true).

When you reboot wait a little and if nothing happens just run again the Alcohol's installation program and it will continue the installation.
