I am looking throught the manual for my ASUS P4S8X Mainboard. I want to purchase a LiteOn LDW-451S DVD Burner (the updated version of the LDW-411S) and I need to be sure I have the correct connection available for it.

My book says I have:

2 IDE Connectors (UltraDMA 133 Support)

The LiteOn DVD Burner I want to buy says it is:

ATAPI/E-IDE

My question is:

Will this work in my computer?

I appreciate any help :praise:

Yes, but my mainboard is only IDE, not EIDE.

E-IDE otherwise known as ATA(UDMA)66/100/133. They are two ways essentaily of saying the same thing. Your board supports it just fine.
