You shouldnt have been such an arse jito, she didnt know. Thanks to me she now knows what is illegal and what isnt. What if you asked something and we all cut you down? No one out there would like to have that happen to them, We were all noobs at some point.

This is not ment to hurt or insult jito, just make him relize what he has done.

Same old, Same old. If its not also available for download from the company who produced it then .....

The Emulator itself is most likely legal if not distributed with the rom. The rom by itself is illegal (unless released by the current legal holder). Those companies never intended their console games to be played on PC's unless they released a PC specific version.

I was expecting the lyrics from a Semisonic song, most disappointed.
Great band, by the way.

Your all welcome to my PM folder im actualy thinking of disabeling it smile.gif

Seriously though, while we all know what is legal and what is not, remember some people still think the disc tray on their drive is for their coffee cup, they may not even have been born when i was using 5 inch floppy discs,

We need to think about this when we respond to users who post a question, maybe point out legalities rather than jump down their necks first time out.

What are those? :woot:

Seriously though, Phoenix is right. Gotta treat new people with a bit more compassion...... If it is a repeat, then get a little stronger. If it is not legal WE will lock the post.....

Pah, they were 5 1/4 inch anyway smile.gif
The really bizarre ones were the 3 inch ones used by ZX Spectrum +3.
With a massive 140k capacity, on each side, double sided!!!
They cost a tidy packet too, about £10 each.. ah, memories.

Ah, the good, old days. My first computer was a Commodore Amiga 2000 with 1MB of RAM, 2 x 3.5" floppies, 1 x 5.25" floppy attached to an IBM emulator card (which never worked) and a bootable floppy with the Kickstart OS on it.

@ Phoenix

I liked how you tried to smoother out her ruffles being the sweet man you are by creating an avatar for her. That was above and beyond the Call of Duty :shifty:  . You might want to ask for an ID too.

With all the publicity movie studios have given regards to downloading movies off the internet you'd have to have no TV or not read the newspaper to not know. Was on the news here not so long ago.

Everyone knows that copying a video from the store is illegal. Its in the terms and agreement, not to mention the speil you get when watching it. I can't see how this is any different otherwise it would be free to go see the movies. Not an entirely bad idea though tongue.gif

Some of the schools are adding a semester fee for the dorms to add the new Napster to their computers and let them download all the music they want for no extra charge. I think cable or satellite companies or netflix should do the same thing. Pay a monthly fee and download all you want.

That's not entirely true.

A) Only those with Windows computers (no macs) can use it
B) Once they leave the school, they no longer have the digital rights to those songs and they become worthless.

*EDIT*
DARN EMOTICONS!!!!!

True but who is keeping up with them to make sure they purge the HD?

But I think it is a good idea to start a new concept.
