Grr, gotta vent. Sorry. My stupid ISP seems to have broken my static IP that I'm paying an additional $10/mo for. Worked for over a year, and now suddenly my static IP is kaput. Not only that, but when I called them the 2nd time about it, they gave me a different IP for the gateway server then the one I've had (that worked) for the past year. They make me jump through hoops (that I told them wouldn't fix it) for half an hour until finally they realize they can't fix it and have to pass it along to the correct people (who just so happen to NOT be there and won't be back until Monday). I switch to dynamic, and it works great. I use Static and nodda.

*sigh*

Guess my old co-workers were right. Several people I used to work with at CompUSA went to an ISP called NetINS that my ISP used to run through for my DSL service. They told me that my ISP was full of morons and they didn't know what they were doing.....I guess they were right. Now that my ISP has broken away from NetINS, it's gone downhill. Bah.

You have a closing /rant tag without a valid opening rant tag therefore your rant will not work correctly. tongue.gif

Its possible they did a server change or upgrade. I work for an ISP as we all know by know and if they made any MAJOR changes to the system then the 1 IP you had may no longer work. I know that has happened co many static customers of ours BUT we do send 2 letters and make one call to let them know of that before that change happenes. / information mode off.

O yeah on a side note haha mine works smile.gif /tech support mode off
