My work decided to replace some Video projectors. They pulled down some Sharp Multimedia projectors. Model number XG-E1200U....
They gave them both to me. Brand new these cost over $8,000,00 each! I know they are a lot less if you buy them used... But still I have two that are both in EXCELLENT condition. They also gave me 4 replacement bulbs $400 each. On top of all that they threw in the projector screen which is about $400....

I hung one of the projectors in the basement with the screen and now I have a 72in TV down there!!!! It really is nice! And the other one I plan to sell on EBay. Does anyone know how much I should ask for it?

Ill assume that you meant 8,000.00 and not whatever number you wana call what you posted.

As far as what you should ask for, find the new price (exact price) and then scan ebay for the market on projectors of that nature...

If you decide on a price... say such as 2,000-3,000 (as an initial bid) then lower it by 10% and set the buy now at 180% of whatever your initial price was.

There are several reasons for this, for one people are impulse buyers ( I found this out on WoW ). Secondly a round figure of 2,000 dollars isnt as "pretty" to a buyer as say 1,800, and another part of this is that it allows people to bid and then they themselves can push the price up, once someone sees such a remarkable price they might themselves bid up to 150% of what your offering to keep other buyers at bay (maybe even buyout if they think its a good enough deal... maybe to even resell it themselves and make some money on it). Dont set a lowest bid though that you would feel was a rip off to you, also factor in that your lowest bid should be the lowest ammount you would accept as you never know.

Another factor too is that even though this thing is valuable, its only worth what someone will give you ( this is alot easier to accept since you paid nothing for it )

Also use the X.99 trick, it works everywhere you go ( gas stations come readily to mind ) you think your payign 2.00 $ per gallon, and its really 2.00 and 9/10 of a cent so it appears a little cheaper. To the impulse buyer something that costs 4.99 is cheaper then somehting that costs 5.00.

Personally id consider it a win if you got 1000 $ or more.

Well I checked Ebay and they have a few of the same model for around $500 used. So I think that is all I can get for it. I will say that it is in mint condition!

Phoenix, your offer is VERY tempting......
