Ok I am just getting fed up now with Nero. My issue is I have all these MP3's I burn to cd's to play in my truck or listen to at work. I want the mp3 info to be burned to, but for now it is all left blank. So I'm stuck with tracks 1-20 with no names. Is there something I am doing wrong, or are there other programs I can use to burn the MP3's with song info on them? Can WMP10 do this without adding any DRM to to the disc?

Do you want the information such as songs' titles, singers, albums, etc. displayed on your MP3 player?

I am no expert in MP3. What I know is, these information is stored in the MP3 files themselves. You can use programmes such as Winamp to save in them.

Yes, my truck has a 6 disc changer and I want the artist name and song titles to scroll across the player. But everytime I burn with data it wont play I get just silence, also when I look at the disc on a computer it locks up the computer.

Also, these are all ripped from my huge disc collection. I used WMP 10 to rip all the tracks to my HDD. It takes up about 40 gigs of space too.

Shawn, when you ripped the discs, did you rip the rip/add the ID3 info to the MP3's?

2005, Nero's site used to have a seperate page for Enterprise version. I remember it costed dearer. Yesterday I checked again in the site but it had been removed. So I presume this version discontinues. No need to bother. tongue.gif

Shawn, that is strange about locking up computer. I have never converted CD audio to MP3, and I don't have Windows Media Player 10 either, because my OS does not match with it. But I know Nero can convert CD audio to MP3. Let me try it this weekend and I will tell you the details.

I'll have to check on that. I dont remember there being an option for that when I ripped them from the disc to HDD. I do know that the system auto listed all track details and song info for each disc and track. When I transfer them to my Palm pilot, all song info transfers with it, so I would guess it should have all been recorded.

Shawn, I converted some songs from my audio CD to MP3 files by Nero. Then I played them by Windows Media Player and Nero Media Player. They all worked correctly. But Nero did not extract the songs' titles etc, information while converting. It provided a function for me to enter it myself manually.

I also converted the songs by Windows Media Player 10 in my relative's home. I played them back correctly too. And the information was extracted together and stored in the MP3 files so I did not need to worry. But it did not provide a function for entering/editing it manually.

So I think you may try to use Windows Media Player to convert few songs to test. Because I think you might not have been successful because your computer was locked.

PS I have just found a link in Nero's site, please check and see whether it helps.

All songs were ripped straight from CD to hard drive by Windows Media Player (WMP) 10. To edit your songs, you just need to locate them on your HDD then right click and go to properties. On this screen it should say "Simple towards the bottom, click advanced and it will open up for you to edit the info on the MP3 if you want to add or delete something.

Your problem seems to be very difficult, because both of your MP3 player and computer can not play the songs.

I have not any clues...

Ok I thought maybe, just maybe that WMP 10 ripped the discs it stored the mp3 info for itself for burning and playing. So I burned a test disc, no joy. Still only reads it as track 1, track 2, and so on. I really cant wait now for Alcohol to get on with the premastering feature....

Shawn, I just thought of one thing, you may try this suggestion.

How many characters long are your MP3 files? If they are more than eight, try rename a few within eight, all capital letters, and use only letters and numbers.

When burn them by Nero, in ISO page, choose ISO mode 1, and choose ISO9600only for file system. (Try not using Joliet file system.)

Wish you good luck. wink.gif

Would that work with compilation discs too?
