If you look over to the Daemon Tools forums, you see that the masses are awaiting the release of YASU. It was said that they already released it for customers of Daemon Tools and I guess they have several other tools which are only available when you purchase DT.
As far as I know, the Alcohol team and the DT team work close together (or are they even the same?). So wouldn't it be nice, if these tools would also be available to Alcohol customers? For example YASU is also necessary when it comes to emulating a copy protected image with Alcohol. But I don't see the point in buying DT when I already have a more powerful program.

It's just an idea but I hope there is something that can be done.

Thanks in advance!

That's right, in fact Alcohol and Daemon Tools share the same virtual drive engine.

As for YASU I don't know if they release it for the Daemon Tools customers first but you'll find the currently available to the public version in their download section( in the "3d party addons for Daemon Tools 4" subsection).

The actual version is not in the Download section on DT Homepage, but you can find it here:

But that's a leaked version and according to their forum posts even outdated. And the official one (1.07) is not able to deal with most recent versions of Securom for example.

Correct, it was accidentally released by one of the German customers. There's been two updates since that release. The fact is, while DTools and AS (Alcohol Soft) share certain resources, they are still two seperate companies. It's not a foregone conclusion that everything released by the DTools team will be made available to AS customers unless it's also made available to the general DTools community. It's not a bad suggestion - and maybe they'll find a way to make it happen - but I wouldn't hold my breath if I was you.

For clarification:-

Y.A.S.U is/was in NO way intended to be a "Daemon tools customer only" application and i doubt it will ever be...

The above mentiond leak was of a Beta version that was being tested by Daemon Tools customers.

All public versions can be downloaded directly from http://www.free-down...t/programs/Yasu
