I've purchased Alcohol 120% a few days ago, and I must say that I am very satisfied with it. However, a problem occured as I was attempting to burn a Securom-Protected PC application. It is kinda urgent for me, so I really need help here. It is a PC application(on a CD ROM), which contains the complete English grammar and many allied things, so it is kinda essential for me as I study English at university.
The application is called English Grammar in Use(by Cambridge University Press) and it can be installed on the PC or directly ran from the CD ROM. It is 475 MB in size.
I used Alcohol 120% to make an image file(MDF). First I checked which protection is applied on the application. I used ProtectionID for that. It turned out to be protected by Securom Version 5.03.04
When creating the image, I used the Data Position Measurement option with High Precision. Read speec was about 24x. I also checked the RMPS and turned it on as well as the option Securom NEW 5/6/7. Alcohol successfully created an image of the CD, and after that, I burned it to a CD-RW on 10x speed. It finished all right, but when I tried to start it up, the following message was displaying:
"Please Insert the Original Disc Instead of a Copy/Backup or wisit www.securom.com for more info"
So, can you help me please? Is there any way to get past this? I really need this grammar CD for my studies and I would really appreciate any help. Thanks in advance!!
