It's a balmy 2C here (for you metrically-challenged folks that's about 34F) and I'm sipping the Ardbeg (fabulous, wish I could afford the expensive one) and grilling - I'm in hog heaven!!

those temps are just too much for me, pappy. it got down into the upper 40s for a low this morning and i'm freezing. at least it will hit the upper 70s this afternoon. in that kind of weather i'd be sippin' a lot and standing real close to the grill.
enjoy!
btw, i've tried that 10 year old ardberg before too. not bad at all.

Better Canadian blends, IMHO, are Alberta Springs and Crown Royal and many are partial to Gibson's. Treat yourself to a single malt scotch such as Talisker or any of the others mentioned, unfortunately they are getting quite expensive.

i gotta tell you though, of all the single malt i've tried i really like the cheapest one. speyburn is 86 proof and i can get it for the same price here as a premium bourbon. it has a fantastic rich, smoky flavor and even on the rocks maintains its character. i have gotten to prefer it over glenfiddich even.

Hmmm, I'll have to find a way to get a sampler of Alberta Springs to ya
