It be great to convert files to images with out having to burn them to a cd and then burn the cd to an image. I know others have mentioned it, but I wanted to stress how cool it would be to do this.

I agree. Making DVD Images and then mounting them to an Alcohol virtual drive would be simple. Just use DVD Decrypter then create an image directly from the destination folder of the decrypted files. DVD backups would then be no problem and the files could be mounted and viewed with alcohol.

What you're referring to is called premastering, and Alcohol's devs are already working on such a feature. They have been for some time. However, blacklist issues take priority so the premastering feature has been put on the back burner until the primary problems are dealt with. Once they've had a chance to test it and implement it, then it will be released. But at this point, don't expect a time frame on how long.

Oh, I see. So you'd prefer they release a version that lets you burn stuff off from your hard drive but still won't let you play your games from the virtual drives? Well, you're alone in that. I have Nero for premastering, so I'd much rather that Alcohol fix the blacklists so I can play without popping my CD's in and out.

I don't play games its not the reason I bought Alcohol
so I don't really care about blacklisting
