While this may seem like a good idea, sales records of our software to Russian purchases presently stands at 2 !!! this is not a large enough incentive to open a special Russian language forum at this time.

Example of popularity Alcohol (yandex - the largest search resource in Russia).
I am use Alcohol approximately 2-3 years (many thanks to the translator of the program - to Dmitry Yerokhin - for translation of the interface). More than 1 year I read this forum. For this time I have made sure that the interface and opportunities Alcohol are clear to the usual user. BUT! The usual user prefers to use other programs - because to them there is õýëï in Russian, a support service in which it can address with the questions and an accessible way of purchase of the software (for example - www.softkey.ru - The Internet-shop supporting simple ways of payment, more widespread in Russia). Therefore Alcohol in Russia basically it is broken open or download from hacker resources. And descriptions of work with it are transferred from user to the user in informal forums on discussion of the software. Frequently - incorrectly transferred from this forum.
Example of a successful gain of the market - "The bat" - email client.

So you're basically saying, that since people there are stealing their product they should show support in the "hope" that people in Russia will buy it instead? That seems a poor way of doing business.

For Alcohol-Soft to add support for your Russian comrades it would most likely require support in the form of actual registered customers.

I agree with EUGEN.
I wrote many times at this forum in other topics about russian language support. I don't know any russian user who don't know about Alcohol program and they all wayting new version. There are a lot of russians forums about Alcohol but we haven't normal support. Most popularity topics are about Alcohol and buckuping StarForce3. And 2nd, most of our games protected crazy SF3 =), I'm sure that you will have latest information from russians about buckuping SF3 protected disks, and it will help to create new versions Alcohol =)). It's sad that most russians can't speak English, so we need rus support... Moreover, Alcohol is one of the most popular software in Russia.
