They would have to as Clone Cd 5 can backup a Safedisc DVD and Blindwrite 5 can backup a SecuROM DVD, although both need emulation.

Well, technically Alcohol can create an image of a SafeDisc protected DVD and run it from the Virtual Drive without any problems. I know, I've tested it with Splinter Cell - Pandora Tomorrow. A buddy bought the Leadtek 6800GT card which included that game in the software bundle. I convinced him to part with it for a small fee wink.gif

The release date is whenever the devs decide it's ready for release. As to beta testing, I believe the testing team is fairly full already. But even if they were seeking new testers, they would pull from the registered customers forum first. So you'd have to be registered as a customer before you would be considered for beta testing.

Not to bring a topic back from the dead or anything but there is a program (free) called DVD Decrypter which automaticly detects the copyright and makes the image for you. Then you can mount the image onto Alcohol and it works like a charm. I do that with my copy of Unreal Tournament 2004

UT2004 worked because the game no longer requires the disc. Hasn't since several patches ago. DVD Decrypter only removes CSS protection on DVD's. It cannot copy information needed for game DVD's.
