Has anyone used this rom and how is it with the new Protections. will i be able to replace my liteon dvd. :woot:

I bought thi burner two weeks ago, but it hasn't arrived yet.
Anyway, I heard that using firmware 1.0e can backup all protections using alcohol (also audio)

The new filmware is 1.0f. Ellecent burner.

Using firmware 1.0f this burner hasn't good EFM encoding and can't read audio protected cds.

The dru500a I use mainly for dvd video burning, filmware 1.0f gives ya 2x burning with cheap accu-r discs.
