Hello,
I was unable to install the trial version of alcohol on, my xp pro.
After the prompt of SPTD, press next and after SPTD won't continue with the error "system file read error".
What does it mean ???
Please help me.

You mean "system file write error", don't you?
Try to install SPTD alone in safe mode. You can download the standalone installers from the links below:
SPTDInst_x86 (32-bit Windows)
SPTDInst_x64 (64-bit Windows)
Boot into safe mode and from the command line run "sptdinst_x??.exe add" (where ?? = 86 or 64). Then reboot and continue the installation of Alcohol.
