Well, then I should tell you that it wasn't a game that I copied. It was the public release of Vista RC1 and I was making a copy for him since he has dialup and it would have taken him forever to get. Soo, could someone please tell me what went wrong when I made the copy???? Thank you very much. Sorry for the confusion. So my question is:

I was wondering if you could tell me why when I burn an image that after it is done I can put it in my drive and it works, but when I take it over to a friends house it won't. Even his 120 shows it as a blank disc. Did I have a setting wrong or something? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you....

Hello Doug,

I "removed" your system report. Thank you for clarifying what you copied.
I donīt have Vista RC1, so no chance in knowing if it is copy protected or not. I believe it is not, but that the user must register his copy of Vista RC1. "Copied" version will probably be blacklisted by MS. Anyway, Iīm not having the necessary knowledge in this case.

Returning to your specific case, Alcohol is to be used for making backup copies of Games/Software from CD-ROM or DVD-ROM.

Vista RC 1 has no protection and comes as an ISO download from Microsoft, i have used Alcohol to burn the ISO file with no problems and have used the disc to install onto 3 of my PCs with no problem, I would suggest you use the lowest write speed that you have and good quality media, if your PC can read the disc then i would start to question the drive in your friends PC. However its not realy relevant as you are not supposed to create copys of the Vista Beta builds for others to use.

It clearly states on their download page Reminder: You cannot distribute download packages.
